I popped my Ogden Cami 🍒 with this make, and now I am a total True Bias groupie.

I wouldn’t normally wear camisole tops. But after seeing all the gorgeous Ogden Cami’s out there in the online community, I finally cracked and bought the pattern. Also, I realised one of the reason why I don’t wear sleeveless tops – I think my arms look big. Of course, no-one really cares about this but me, and I live in a city where the temperature sits above 30 degrees for most of the summer. So, time to lose the sleeves. (I did still choose my most flattering arm picture though, haven’t totally given up my arm issues).

I made a toile with an op-shop quilt cover for my first version, and tried an 8 based on my bust measurement. It was too tight across the bust though, although it did skim my tummy. The 10 is much more comfortable all round. It’s such a simple shape but so flattering. FYI I’m usually a 12 on top in RTW.

The trickiest part of this make was dealing with the slippery rayon. It’s such a gorgeous fabric to wear so it’s completely worthwhile. I did a narrow hem on the partial lining and the main body of the make. It’s the first time I’ve done one with my rolled hem foot. It was a bit of a learning curve but I’m really chuffed with the end result and it makes it look much more professional and feel more luxurious. I tried machine sewing the straps as per instructions but wasn’t happy with the finish so hand-stitched instead.

I’m planning a cotton sateen one for pyjamas, and a slip dress for the beach, and a slip nightie, and a linen one with a bias facing…*faints from all the options*
